November 2025Deviceflow is the AI-native ops platform for medical device commercial teams— bridging digital communication & physical assets by automating the manual workflows that delay surgeries and distract sales reps, increasing revenue. Hello friends! Happy belated Thanksgiving! Hope everyone got a few days to recharge and enjoy time with loved ones. This year I'm feeling especially grateful — for my family's endless patience as I ride the entrepreneurial rollercoaster again, for my co-founders Jason and Daniel who've been incredible partners through every twist, and for our investors who've given us far more than financial support — your guidance and belief in what we're building means everything. November 6th was Deviceflow's (née CaseCohort) 1st birthday, and there is a lot to celebrate! TL;DR:
How You Can HelpTwo asks this month:
Travel & Market LearningNovember took me to Nashville for the Teamworthy Ventures Fellowship wrap-up — always humbled to be in that community of builders. Then up to Connecticut and NYC, including a fun detour to see Death Becomes Her (family-friendly fun!). A highlight was spending time with a NYC spine distributor, getting deep into the weeds of how their market actually works. The complexity is staggering — inventory moving constantly, billing across dozens of accounts, price lists that change regularly, and independent reps trying to keep it all straight. Every challenge they described is exactly what we're building for. Product Development — Foundation for SpeedNovember was about stability and velocity. We shipped 142 pull requests — that's more than one PR per person per day, even with Thanksgiving. But it's not just volume; we're laying the groundwork for much faster deployment. Infrastructure upgrades:
Two New AI Automations and The Inbox PatternWe launched two automations that set up our "inbox pattern" — monitoring email (Remember our SMS agent from last month? Same pattern!), structuring incoming data, and executing deterministic workflows without human intervention. We're embedding domain knowledge into these workflows so the more context we set the better the outcomes. Bill-only Automation Most orthopedic devices are billed after procedures, with POs landing in a single inbox where someone manually matches them to delivery records, checks pricing, verifies dates. Error-prone and slow. Now? Deviceflow sits in that inbox. We receive the PO, classify it as bill-only, match it to case utilization the rep already collected (they do this religiously — it's how they get paid!), and flag any exceptions immediately. No human touches it unless something's wrong. The ROI isn't just labor savings — it's accelerating the revenue cycle. Reps and manufacturers get paid faster. Direct/Stocking Order Automation When facilities stock frequently-used items, they order directly from manufacturers — often without the rep even knowing. The rep's business becomes a surprise, which is never where you want to be. Same pattern: we receive the stocking PO via email, classify it, create the order, submit to 3PL/ERP for fulfillment. And because we know the rep-facility relationship, we notify the rep, let them know when items ship, when they arrive, so they can follow up properly. These are the first of many automations using this pattern. The inbox is becoming our entry point into the entire order lifecycle. It's our use case discovery engine. Customer MilestonesFirst Case Study — The Numbers Are In Remember that major manufacturer audit we've been working on? It closed, and the results exceeded everyone's expectations:
This is the proof point we've been building toward. Real dollars, real impact, real transformation of a process that used to take months and pull reps off the field. First Manufacturer Network Rollout After some delays (international inventory logistics are... fun), we're live with our first manufacturer distribution network:
Early innings, but the response has been fantastic. This is our first true "multiplayer" deployment — manufacturer and their entire distributor ecosystem on one platform. Looking Ahead to DecemberDecember is about momentum:
Final ThoughtWhat strikes me most this month is how the pieces are connecting. The infrastructure work makes the AI automations possible. The AI automations make the customer wins possible. The customer wins prove the model works. And every new deployment teaches us something that makes the next one better. We're not just building software — we're building the connective tissue for an industry that's been held together by spreadsheets and text messages for too long. Thanks for being part of this journey. Any intros to spine folks or international medtech companies would be huge! Best, Anatoly, Dan & Jason You're getting this email because you're a friend or a colleague - we respect your time and appreciate your support! If you don't want to receive any more of these messages, simply unsubscribe at the bottom of the email. Otherwise, thanks for staying! |
