Hope everyone's having a great start to summer! For this mid-summer update, I wanted to share with you how we’re thinking about building Deviceflow. We’re not just a SaaS tool, although we’re that, nor just an AI tool, although we’re that too…

TL;DR: We’re building MedTech's first commercial market network. $800k committed, rolling out across Southeast weekly, creating pull from BOTH manufacturers and distributors. Need investors & pilots managing 5+ partners.

Fundraising Progress

Advanced conversations with 3 funds, 2 more going deeper. The market network story is clicking - investors love the two-sided pull. Closing by the end of summer.

Pilots

Rolling out 1-2 teams weekly across the Southeast! Deploying audit capabilities (cycle counts, inventory visibility, shipping notices). July: Alabama, Florida, then Tennessee.

The validation: Pilots are introducing us to THEIR partners. They WANT everyone on Deviceflow. Network effects in action!

Customer Learning

The problem: Distributors work with 10-50+ manufacturers, each with different systems. Traditional tools (MoveMedical, ImplantBase) are built for manufacturers and then try to force distributors to adopt. Result? Distributors resist because they're juggling dozens of manufacturer-specific tools.

Our flip: Build for BOTH sides:

  • Manufacturers - unified visibility across all distributors
  • Distributors - ONE system for ALL manufacturers

Every manufacturer added helps distributors (one less system!). Every distributor helps manufacturers (better data, real-time visibility). The network grows itself.

Product Development

In June we started working on the next iteration of Deviceflow as a collaboration platform, not an inventory management tool. V2 models real relationships - facilities, surgeons, commissions, distributors & their manufacturers, vice-versa. Both parties work together, not just swap spreadsheets.

Result: Organic adoption. Distributors invite manufacturers. Manufacturers invite distributors.

Our differentiation is that we're building our product as a network from the ground-up, not shoehorning sharing into an ossified, decade-old product.

Looking Ahead

While competitors build one-sided tools, we're creating where medical device business actually happens. Building all summer for fall growth!
